Barbara Boggs was born in Detroit, Michigan as the ninth addition to a family of four brothers and four sisters.  One and a half years later following her birth, the tenth member of their extraordinary loving family was born, a tiny handsome and unique baby boy, Preston.  Her mother, Annie Boggs was a strong woman who instilled in her children solid Christian values.  She taught her children to love each other and to be kind and respectful to people.  In fact, Barbara’s mothers strength and Christian values have been an inspiration for her to become a poet and writer.  

 

Barbara is also a wife and mother to two children, Joseph and Lauryn.  She loves being a wife and mother and has learned to successfully and effectively meet all the responsibilities of her roles.  She is married to a great guy who unselfishly provides support, encouragement and guidance that is instrumental in her ability to do what she loves.  Her children also provide the inspiration for some of her poems included her books. 

 

In addition the Reflections of Living Life: A Book of  Poems, she has also written Expressions From Within: A Book Of Poems, Journey to Happiness, A Novel, and Journey to Happiness, A Play. She writes from the heart and this is transparent to her readers.  Her poems tell stories about life that everyone can relate.
